The hunky actor talks about love, being a “caveman” and the simple secret to his great marriage to Kelly Ripa.
  | You were recently seen on The Hallmark Channel’s For the Love of Grace and have several shows being planned for TLC. Would you and your lovely wife, Kelly Ripa, ever do a reality series on your life together? | | Never! We wouldn’t do that. | |
 | So, with such busy schedules, how do you find time to spend together? | | Most of the time in the evenings, if we are not working, we are alone, actually. Every night, we have dinner together as a family. Saturday nights are our date nights. We will go out together or with a group of friends. We have a good time. Kelly is usually the first one to say this—everyone thinks she is so busy, but really, she has one of the best jobs in the world. Her job is done by 10 a.m.! That’s not bad. | |
 | Does she do a lot of cooking in the home? | | She does! She is a good baker. For my birthday, she made me a strawberry shortcake with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, which was amazing! | |
 | Is cooking the way to a man’s heart? | | Kelly has a few different ways to get to my heart… | |
 | What’s the secret to a great marriage? | | My wife is very tolerant—that’s the secret. Just kidding! We really love each other; I’m just the quintessential guy/caveman, so that’s necessary. | |
 | Do you have annoying habits that Kelly doesn’t approve of, like leaving the toilet seat up? | | Yup! And putting my foot in my mouth—all of that stuff. | |
 | How do you work through all of that? | | You apologize—a lot! | |
